Stoned Eco Resin USER GUIDE

Equipment needed Accurate scales, mixing cup/container, mixing shear or stick.

Workshop conditions should be warm, dry, and out of direct sunlight.

Mix Ratio: 2:1 base to liquid by weight.

Working time - 5-10 minutes
Demold time – 30 - 50 minutes
Full strength after demolding - 24–48 hours

- Measure your liquid with you scales, add 2 x powder to the liquid and mix with your drill attachment until is smooth and free flowing, with no lumps.
(If using a stick or whisk, add the powder slowly and mix as you go)
 - Add your pigment powder, liquid pigment, terrazzo chips, sand, or aggregates.
 - Mix again with your mixer, or fold larger aggregates in with a mixing stick by hand.
- Pour in a thin stream into your mould.
Optional - use a brush to coat the mould surface evenly and get into the edges of your mould before pouring.

- Spend the next few minutes checking your mix; tapping, vibrating, or wiggling your mold to encourage a bubble free finish.
Optional: Pop surface bubbles with a heat gun or jet lighter.

- De-mould after 30-40 minutes or when your project had cooled to the touch. Do not leave your item in your mould for prolonged periods, this may create uneven drying and a blotchy surface.
- Seal your item with a stone wax or acrylic sealant.

TIP - Find a consistency that best suits your project. 2:1 is for a smooth casting pour. This also accommodates using powder pigments and sand/aggregates well.

Want to coat a vase? Do a texture painting? or skim a perfect piece that had a surface flaw? Go up to 3:1 for a fast setting, paint on mix.

TIP - If you are using a mixing blade, try to keep the head of the blade below the surface to minimalize bubbles.

      PRODUCT INFORMATION
As STONED Eco Resin is a water-based resin, all moisture must completely evaporate for it to reach its full strength. The time required for this is dependent on external factors such as the size of the object, temperature, and humidity.

STONED Eco Resin is best poured at 25 degrees Celsius. As this is a heat reactive product, hot weather will make it cure quickly while cold temperatures will extend processing time.

Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Store away from incompatible materials. Avoid contact with acids, water, and moisture.

      SAFETY
      - Wear approved safety goggles to avoid eye irritation.

      - Use suitable protective gloves to avoid skin irritation.
      - Wear a dust mask to avoid respritory irritation.
      - Normal work clothing (long sleeved shirts and long pants) is recommended.

Minimize dust production when mixing, or opening and closing bags. Avoid inhalation of dust. Wash hands after handling.

      CLEAN UP
Clean tools as quickly as possible with eco-friendly dish soap and water.
